The Refrigerator Door Gasket is a white rubber door seal that keeps the warm or humid outside air from entering the appliance. This part is designed to be used with select Whirlpool®, JennAir®, KitchenAid® and Thermador® refrigerators; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator's water supply before you begin. Helpful Tip: The new gasket may arrive with some dents and creases; placing the part in the sun or soaking it in warm water will help to soften the rubber.
